Campus Activity
Blood Donation Camp – A Collaborative Humanitarian Initiative
About the Activity
The Society of Computer Science (SCS), Shaikh Zayed Islamic Centre (SZIC), University of Peshawar, organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Frontier Foundation Welfare Hospital and Blood Transfusion Services.
The initiative brought together students and members of the academic community to promote the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage active participation in humanitarian services. The camp provided an opportunity for eligible donors to contribute towards saving lives by supporting patients who require blood transfusions.
Through this collaborative effort, the Society of Computer Science aimed to foster a sense of social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement among students.
The event also highlighted an important public health awareness message promoted by Frontier Foundation: "Test for Thalassemia Before Choosing a Life Partner."
This initiative reflects SZIC's commitment to encouraging student participation in meaningful community service and supporting initiatives that contribute positively to society.
